How It Works
Our migration process leverages Stripe Connect's secure data portability. Because you own your customer data, you can move it. Here is the Step-by-Step workflow:
Export Your Data
Before anything happens, export your current member list from your existing platform. You want to capture their Emails, Stripe Customer IDs (if available), and current Plan Names.
Initialize the Handoff
Create your Studio Baby account and connect your Stripe. Then, contact our support team to initiate a Migration Ticket. We will look at your volume and assign an engineer to your case.
The Secure Transfer
You will submit a specialized request to Stripe to copy your customers' distinct payment tokens (`pm_...`) to your new Studio Baby Connected Account.
Note: This is the magic step. It securely moves the "ability to charge" without ever exposing credit card numbers.
The Switch
Once the data is ready, we run a scheduled script to create subscriptions for all your members on Studio Baby that match their old billing dates. Your members receive a welcome email:
"Welcome to the new Studio! Click here to set your password."
Common Questions
Is there downtime?
No. We recommend keeping your old site live until the "Switch" day. Members can access the old site right up until they get the email for the new one.
What about failed payments?
We don't migrate members with currently failing payments. We import their data but don't start a subscription, letting our "Dunning" system send them a fresh checkout link to update their card.
How much does this cost?
For studios with over 100 active members, this service is complimentary. We want you on the best platform, and we're willing to do the work to get you there.
